Dr. Mahlman and Dr. Borders are orthodontists. But orthodontists are dentists first. On average, out of 100 dental school graduates, only six become orthodontists.
To practice orthodontics, Dr. Mahlman and Dr. Borders invested 11 years of their lives(four years of college, four years of dental school, and three years of orthodontics residency).
As orthodontic students, Dr. Mahlmann and Dr. Borders spent three years learning the skills needed to manage tooth movement and guide facial development.

Dr. Mahlmann and Dr. Borders will examine your photos and X-rays to determine the best way to treat your needs. Then you’ll choose the braces you want—traditional metal, clear ceramic, or Invisalign.
